Course Overview

Cancer can be an overwhelming diagnosis for our patients. Approaching such a diagnosis can be overwhelming for a practitioner as well. Throughout her forty years of practice, Sharon Weizenbaum has seen hundreds of patients diagnosed with various cancers. Through the lens of Shang Han Lun physiology, she has found Chinese herbal formulas tremendously helpful and sometimes life-saving. In this weekend seminar, Sharon will share her experience and approach to working with patients diagnosed with cancer. Because there are many types of cancer and many types of patients with this diagnosis, there is not a single protocol or method. However, we can look at some common characteristics of cancer to gain a basic and effective approach with our herbal formulas. Sharon will begin with a fundamental way of viewing cancer and patients with cancer that will help practitioners to create focused intention in diagnosis and treatment. Sharon will then go through each of the six warps (conformations) to show how restoring the correct function of the warp can help shift the pathology. She will illustrate this through cases from her own practice, explaining her diagnostic process and treatment method. She will also discuss some highly effective methods for helping patients through the side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery.
