Course Overview

This is a Live Webinar event that will be held on January 20, 2027 - 1am GMT, 2am CET, 3am IST. Muscle and tendon Injuries are increasingly common in the athletic and active community. The recent years has seen some very severe pathology, such as complete tendon rupture, that keeps the athlete in a recovery mode for a year or even longer. It is safe to assume that the sports acupuncturist will see such patients, and will need to be well informed and trained on the subject. In this webinar, we offer instruction and some perspectives on assessment and treatment using acupuncture, meridian therapy, and anatomical needling protocols. We will include the following: 1. The gluteal tendon Points: Jiankua, Gall Bladder channel 2. The quad tendon superior to the patella Points: Baichongwo, Spleen and Stomach channels, the rectus femoris (St 31). 3. Lateral epicondyle Needling epicondylitis, the tendinopathy, and inflammation at the muscle-tendon junction. 4. Hamstring acute strain of the muscle and/or tendon Bladder 37, muscle bands lateral and medial to Bladder 37 and the Bladder channel. 5. The Calf (the gastrocnemius/soleus group) with acute strain in the muscle or the region of the achilles tendon Bladder 57, muscle bands in the region of the muscle 6. The Biceps tendon (long head of the bicepital tendon) Lung 3, Lung 4, Ahshi points in the biceps muscles muscles belly We will include acupuncture general acupuncture protocols 1. The jing well point 2. The muscle belly 3. The muscle-tendon junction 4. Upper/lower mirroring 5. Cupping 6. Guasha The recordings will be made available for you to review after the event!

Course Objectives

  • Assessment and treatment of the gluteal tendon (inferior attachment).
  • Assessment and treatment of the quad tendon superior to the patella.
  • Assessment and treatment of the lateral epicondyle.
  • Assessment and treatment of the Hamstring muscle belly.
  • Assessment and treatment of the gastrocnemius/soleus (calf) muscle.

Treatment of the extensor group at the lateral epicondyle.
