Course Objectives
- The student will understand the mechanism of Agonist and Antagonist in muscle movements.
- The student will understand how trigger points (knots) in muscles leads to pain and pathology.
- The student will be able to identify structural imbalance to to muscle trigger points.
- The student will be able to treat structural imbalance by using trigger point strategies of VST and Kinetic Acupuncture.
- The student will improve their diagnostic and prognostic abilities to further gain confidence, esteem, and reputation in the eyes of their patients.
Course Outline
0 hrs - 2 hrs
Use VST Acupuncture's range of motion analysis of the neck/ shoulder and hip / lower back vertexes to identify agonist/ antagonist muscle pathology affecting structural tensegrity and balance.
2 hrs - 3.5 hrs
Use Kinetic Acupuncture to treat pain and pathology affecting the hands, wrists, fingers, elbows, and shoulders with trigger point protocols of the brachials (extensor and flexors), triceps, and shoulder rotator cuff muscles.
3.5 hrs - 5 hrs
Use Kinetic Acupuncture to treat pain and pathology affecting the entire feet, lower leg, knee, and hip areas with Calf, Anterior Tibialis, Quadriceps, IT Band, and Piriformis trigger point protocols.
5 hrs - 6 hrs
Use therapeutic protocols of TCT, TLT, Hanging Lower Back Stretch, and Fountain of Youth Stretching to maximize treatment outcomes and give patients tools for gaining control over their own health.
