Course Overview

This is a Live Webinar event that will be held on October 22, 2022 - 8pm BST, 9pm CEST, 10pm IDT. Jake Fratkin uses his 44 years of clinical experience to present several lectures on Gynecological topics. Lecture 3 focuses on 3 common gynecological conditions: Infertility, and Menopausal Syndrome. We will compare the Western biomedical understanding with the modern TCM approach. The in-depth discussion will include pattern differentiation, and application of modern herbal formulas and modern herbal products. The recordings will be made available for you to review after the event!

  • The student shall review basic biomedical understanding of infertility, menopausl disorder.
  • The student will learn the TCM overview for patterns and formula/product treatment for infertility.
  • The student will learn the TCM overview for patterns and formula/product treatment for menopausal disorder.

Course Outline

October 22, 2022 - 8pm BST, 9pm CEST, 10pm IDT (3 hrs)
Discussion of Infertility in modern biomedicine, including ovarian factors, uterine factors, and cervical factors; the role of various hormones; and modern diagnosis. A brief overview to IVF is included.
Discussion of infertility in modern TCM, focusing on common patterns for Liver stasis, Blood stasis, Kidney deficiency, Blood deficiency, Spleen qi deficiency, and Phlegm-dampness. Detailed descriptions of relevant herbal formulas will be discussed.
Overview of TCM patterns for menopausal disorder, including kidney deficiency, and liver stasis of qi and blood. Detailed descriptions of relevant herbal formulas will be discussed.
